Gonda: A training programme on the use and importance of IFFCO Nano Zinc and Nano Copper was organised in Seergaura village of Mankapur development block on Tuesday under the aegis of Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO). The programme provided farmers with technical information on the application of nano fertilisers and their potential impact on crop health and productivity.
Training Focuses on Disease Management in Paddy

Dr Ram Lakhan Singh, Senior Scientist in Agronomy at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mankapur, explained the application of IFFCO Nano Zinc and Nano Copper in paddy cultivation. He said their use can help improve the disease resistance of paddy plants and support better development of leaves and roots.
According to the information shared during the training, the application of Nano Zinc and Nano Copper can help reduce the incidence of khaira disease in paddy and lower the risk of other fungal diseases. The use of these products was also discussed in the context of improving crop productivity.
Recommended Spray Concentration Explained
Vibhakar Tiwari, SFA, IFFCO Fertilisers, explained the method of preparing the spray solution. Farmers were informed that one millilitre each of IFFCO Nano Zinc and IFFCO Nano Copper can be mixed with one litre of water to prepare the solution, which is then sprayed on the crop.

Applications in Horticultural Crops Discussed
Dr Manoj Kumar Singh, a horticulture scientist, also briefed farmers about the use of Nano Zinc and Nano Copper in horticultural crops. He said their application can contribute to improved productivity in such crops.
Nano Fertiliser Spray Demonstrated at Field
IFFCO has established a demonstration plot of paddy variety 5204 on the field of progressive farmer Mahadev Prasad Yadav. During the training programme, a live demonstration of spraying IFFCO Nano Zinc and Nano Copper was conducted on the crop in the demonstration field.
Farmers including Mahadev Prasad Yadav, Harsh Yadav, Shivprasad and Melaram participated in the training and received technical guidance on the use of nano fertilisers and improved agricultural practices.
